At Chorós Dance Academy, dance is not just a skill; it is an art form that connects the mind, body, and soul. Our mission is to foster a love for dance in a supportive and creative environment.
Founded by Alexander Petts, a passionate educator and performer with a BA Honours in Dance. With a wealth of industry experience, Alexander not only brings his extensive knowledge but also continues to perform, ensuring our students receive insights from the ever-evolving dance world. Our academy is dedicated to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and developing the next generation of dancers in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Alexander is a highly qualified Dance Teacher and Performer, with multiple degrees in the performing arts. His extensive experience includes working with students in a school setting, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), where he adeptly tailors his teaching methods to meet diverse learning requirements. Additionally, Alexander has completed positive handling training, equipping him with skills to manage classroom dynamics effectively. He is also First Aid trained and holds a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all his students at the Dance Academy.
Alexander continues to shine as a professional performer, demonstrating his remarkable talent not only in dance but also in the realm of acting. With years of experience under his belt, he effortlessly brings characters to life on stage and screen, showcasing his versatility and passion. His dedication to the arts is evident as he embraces every opportunity to perform, captivating audiences with his graceful movements and emotional depth. Whether he's pirouetting in a dance routine or delivering a poignant monologue, Alexander remains a vibrant force in the performing arts scene, constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity and expression. From a dance adaptation of The Lion King, to a Sky Original Movie, Alexander continues to pursue his dreams whilst making the dreams of others a reality.
